The Past

Born in New Jersey and raised in the Carolinas, I spent most of my adolescence moving back and forth between the two states. Graduating from Johnson C, Smith University 2017 in Hospitality and Events management, I quickly got a job at the Ritz Carlton downtown Charlotte as a banquet dish washer. Having zero field experience in hospitality, food and beverage, I had to take what I was given. I knew I wanted to be the banquet captain there at some point, I just didn’t know how I was going to get there. Keeping my goal in mind, I gradually worked myself up to banquet food prep. cook, room service, server, to bartender.

Moving to Winston-Salem, I fell in love with the fine dining and craft cocktail style of bartending. Shortly later I found a home at Old Town Club, as their pool bartender. Spending my time wisely out there on those beautiful days, I began to network and build relationships with the club members over a course of two years (Also doing some travel bartending work for Roaring Gap Club) everything was going great until the unthinkable happens…Covid-19. With all the bars closed at the club and North Carolina is approaching lockdown, what am i going to do ? How am I going to provide for my family ?

I received a call from one of the members I connected with earlier that summer at Old Town; to be the bar host of a small garden party in Winston. Having no supplies, barely any extra money to buy bar tools, and no idea how I was going to pull this off; I said “Yes, absolutely. Luckily my client had everything we needed for a bar, she just needed my cocktail expertise and help with party set up.

Right after the garden party, I got a call to host tailgate party for a Wake Forest game (also another member of OTC) ,then it became a domino effect with all of these parties. I thought “ If the bars are closed, why not bring the bar to you?”, by then i’ve made enough money establish a business and get my LLC. I did so and Glover Private Bartending was born.

Continuing to grow and visioning the potential of this amazing company, Im looking to also bring other small local caters and vendors along with me. Networking and building deep connections with these local businesses that provide event services outside of mine, We are creating the “One Stop Shop” for all your party needs. Local Photographers, Dj’s, Food Trucks, and other culinary caters all in one spot! No more going to website to website looking for events services, Glover Private Bartending will be all you need!
